Who's who - Jean McAllister
Jean McAllister has been Principal of Shipley College since 1991. She has been involved over the years in various national FE and HE developments to promote the use of IT in delivering education and training, to promote high professional standards, widen access to quality training and increase the educational achievement of young people and adults.
Jean’s firm belief in harnessing the creative potential of information and learning technology gained her the 1998 Award for National Leadership in ILT from NILTA, the National Information and Learning Technologies Association. Since late 2001 Jean has been NILTA’s Vice Chair.
At a more local level, in addition to her membership of the Airedale Partnership Board, Jean is an active member of a range of organisations including:-
- Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Support Centre for ICT
- West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges
- Bradford Vision (Board and Executive member)
- Bradford and District Learning Partnership - and chair of its Workforce Development Sub-Group
