Came to Keighley from Bradford in 1979 and resident in the town,
Chair of the Airedale and Bradford Manufactures Alliance, member of the Bradford Economy Partnership Board as well as the Airedale Partnership.

Treasurer of the ICME in Yorkshire and also has an interest in Engineering Training. Nationally have sat on the National Committee for Education for Foundrymen.
