Who's who - Trevor Higgins

Trevor was born in Bradford in 1955 and was taught in the City.
He is educated to post grad level. He holds an ONC and HNC in Telecommunication Engineering and gained a CMS and DMS, both passed with Distinction, in Bradford.

He has had a diverse career in over thirty years with BT. Management jobs range from Call Centre Management to Change Management. He has had the full spectrum of management training including Management and Graduate Recruitment and Media Training. He also mentors junior managers.

In his last but one role he had 1200 staff and a turnover of £30M a year. He had six Senior Managers and Forty First Line managers reporting to him and was responsible for the provision and repair of telephone service for Yorkshire and Humberside.

His current role is Regional Manager for Yorkshire and The Humber. His purpose is to provide a local face for BT in the region. The English Regions we are putting BT at the heart of local communities. Working in partnership with the lines of business we work to ensure that BT is recognised and chosen as the number one provider of communications solutions and professional expertise for all local authority, regional authority and local government needs

He is a director of Bradford Breakthrough, a board member of the Airedale Partnership, a board member of the Asian Business Development Network, a member of the Bradford Common Purpose Advisory Board and an elected councillor of the Leeds Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Trevor lives with his partner in Clayton. He has a 23-old stepdaughter and two sons aged seventeen and fifteen. His passions are travel, Bradford City Football Club and he is an active theatre-goer.
