Welcome to the Airedale Partnership GIS webpage. What is GIS? – It is a computer based map system which enables us to capture, store, analyse and display geographically referenced information. By clicking on the link below you will be able to open a number of GIS maps which show where key projects of the Airedale Masterplan are located and details on project aims, key contacts, photograph, progress details and links to other projects How does it work? – To start using the system simply click on the "Airedale Corridors - Five priority projects " link below and a map highlighting the priority projects will automatically load. You must use IE Explorer, but the latest version of Netscape is compatible up to a certain extent. If the system does not load up, please double click on this PLUG IN and follow the download instructions. Once the Maps load you can pan, navigate, zoom in, zoom out and select objects from the map by using the appropriate tools on the GIS toolbar which is located above the map on your left hand side. You may also switch layers on and off by clicking the appropriate layers in the contents menu on the left of your screen. By double clicking on the priority projects you can also access more detailed information about the projects. GIS maps: |
