- The company has put in place the first team of engineers who are already working on projects in embedded systems implementation and methodology. The ADI has the ambitious target of hiring a further 15 – 20 research and development engineers over the next eighteen months and is looking to grow expert teams in the digital TV and home networking area as well as wireless infrastructure. The first Research and Development collaboration contracts are already in place and more are anticipated in the near future as ongoing engagements with major regional and national companies develop. Ged Powell, CEO of ADI said “we are very happy with the first year of our operation with all targets in our strategic plan fully met. The strategic plan is endorsed in our Yorkshire Forward contract and now moves into the next phase. We are looking forwards to a sustained period of aggressive growth and expansion with more R&D staff, more company engagements and developing university support strategies.” The ADI is the UK’s first independent research and development organisation dedicated to supporting high-tech companies through research and development.
