Town furniture firm invests in new store -
Thursday, February 14, 2013

A furniture retailer is to move from inside a Keighley department store to the town`s former MFI showroom near Victoria Park.

AHF will make a six figure investment in the new store on the Alston Retail Park and increase its staff from 6 to 8.

The 13,000 sq ft store, due to open on February 28, will become the first national clearance superstore run by AHF.

The company is part of the National Co-Operative family and is one of the UK`s largest independent furniture retailers.

AHF has for 23 years had the furniture concession in Keighley`s Beales store - the former Co-Operative owned Sunwin House and Home, on Hanover Street. The AHF concession in Beales closes on Saturday.

AHF store manager Denise Oxlley said the new store would provide shoppers with extended seven days a week opening hours and free parking.
